PEI Major U15 AAA Season is set to begin!

PEI Major U15 AAA league is set to begin with the two teams that would have been playing for the 2019-2020 Provincial title before the season ended in March due to Covid-19. Eastern Express will host Central Attack in the league opener Thursday night in Pownal. Puck drop is 7:40pm

Eastern Express have 8 returning players eagerly waiting for an opportunity to win the provincial title. They will be leaning on returnees Matthew Maclean and Justin Smith to anchor a new blue line. Up front the team is lead by 3rd year player Ross Campbell, along with Evan Nicholson, Owen Macpherson, Mason Power, and Dawson Sharkey. Adding to this core group of veterans the team is excited about the speed and energy brought in from first year players Ryan Dwyer, Alex Keus, Drew MacDonald, Carsen MacKenzie, Kayden McGuigan, Nolan McQuillan, Austin Walker, and Aiden Wilson along with some rugged play from 2nd year U15 players Cayle Coffin and Logan Gregory. The goaltending duo is returnee Jackson MacDonald and first year Hudson Bradley.

Central Attack under new head coach KJ White will be looking to his 5 returning players for leadership on and off the ice. The team will look to play a high tempo game and get pucks in deep to have a good fore check, it will be important to play hard every time they hit the ice.

Head Coach Cleve McNeil of the Prince County Warriors is looking forward to a good year built around experience. The team as 11 Major U15 AAA players returning to the Warriors this season, and some great new additions that add some speed and skill to the lineup. Warriors will have both goaltenders returning from last year, with the tandem of Cole Echlin and last seasons Top Goaltender George Gallant backstopping the net.

Mid Isle Matrix under new head coach Taylor Runighan has 14 fresh faces on his roster and will be relying on the leadership on and off the ice of his 4 returning players, Michael Arsenault, Rowan Tremere, John Beaton and Liam Boswall. Runighan has added Nick Currie and Jacob Stewart to his coaching staff.
